Research published this week from Foresters Friendly Society and ICM Direct revealed some interesting statistics about Wills:
- 61% of people do not have a will
- 1 in 8 have not reviewed their will for over a decade
- 1 in 10 have a ‘hidden’ will, not notifying beneficiaries where it is
We strongly recommend all our clients have up-to-date Wills, and whilst we cannot prepare Wills or give legal advice, we can explain the broad considerations, and recommend competent local solicitors. I hold affiliate membership to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and their website can provide a useful resource.
