Although the HMRC website, at the time of writing, says that the form in unavailable, the form for those wishing to register for Fixed Protection is available on the HMRC website. The form is known as an “APSS227” (Application for protection of your lifetime allowance – fixed protection)
As a reminder, Fixed Protection is important for those at, or close to the new Pensions Lifetime Allowance of £1.5m, when the new rules take effect on 6th April 2012.
